IK_Brussels_34_low-res
For the next round of BerlinViews Galerie Thomas Fischer is presenting Irmel Kamp's black and white photographs: For over four decades Irmel Kamp has been photographing architecture. Her project, Les Années Trente (1996–1997), revolves around modern architecture of the 1930s in Brussels. Kamp does not employ a typological gaze, rather, she portrays particulars, vernacular expressions, buildings embedded in their surroundings and shaped by their circumstances.
